Indian Pipe in Dane’s Pine Woods

Indian Pipe In Dane’s Pine Woods

This little plant reaching no more than seven inches in a vigorous plant, lacks  chlorophyll.  It is sometimes called the Corpse Plant or Ghost Plant.   I have noticed that it is partial to rotting pine needles.  My mother loved it.  She thought it was so precious.  My brother’s white pine acres were full of them.
