Here is the farm where we photographed the barn swallows.  The Frontier Cultural Heritage Museum is in Staunton Virginia.  It was a fascinating place.  Look it up on the Internet to learn more about it and plan to visit when you next go to the Shenandoah.

  1. These rocks are just carefully piled up, aren’t they?….no mortar? It must have taken some special know how passed along from father to son to make a bunch of rocks stack up with such purpose and withour falling
